Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! I’ve got love in my tummy!

I have a confession to make.

I am obsessed with food. But not your fast food finger-lickin’-McHungry-Sub-Hut types… I’m obsessed with quality good food. And it has been burning a hole in my pocket for the best part of 2006. And I fear that 2007 will be no different. In fact, it probably be worse.

This is no thanks to the ever-increasing pile of The Age's Good Food Guides that I have accumulated over the last couple of years. This is in no part to me
buying them… they’ve been gifts and freebies (and who in their right mind says no to a freebie?)

There are no less than approx. 4000 restaurants in Melbourne and the number increases consistently, as does the number of restaurants I want to visit. Each of my food guides has hundreds of tabs for places I want to visit.
Of late, I’ve dined and become as giddy as a kid at Christmas at some of my new favourite restaurants. One of which is I Carusi – an traditional Italian pizzeria in Brunswick and St Kilda. Their thin-crust pizzas and their dessert pizzas are to die for!

And being the true Italian that I am, I don’t believe in a no-carb diet. People who are on those diets or any diet should be slapped Zsa-Zsa Gabor style silly. I believe in eating in moderation. Enjoy your food and appreciate the craft of cooking. I do.

By December 2007, I will probably look like this. Book me into Ricki Lake or Maury Povich.

As i sit here eating my Paton's Macadamia chocolates, i too understand your pain Anthony (although mine is more of a chocolate specific obsession). I did, however, consider going on a health kick the other night whilst watching Nip/Tuck (did you see their patient, she was bigger than the photo of you next year!!) However, as i pondered this thought whilst eating my turkish delight chocolate, i decided to wait until next year.

By the way, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Your blog is brilliant, and as sac-religious as it is for me to say, YOU BITCH BETTER THAN CARRIE BRADSHAW!!

I fear that I have contributed to this 'problem'. For I too have suffered the financial damage of many good meals.

So where are we going next?

Well hello funny meeting you in this place?
But i have to say i love your little stories hehehehe.
Now in regards to a good meal or in my case bad meals i have had more than my fair share over the past 18 months and i know you have witnessed a friend who had a tight firm bod turn into someone who could be mistaken as the good year blimp. I wounder if you can guess who it is hehehehe.
In regards to your lates singleton Christmas/NYE all you need during these time is a good friends who are willing to drink a bottle of red with you over the dinner table. Couples Vs Singleton's doesnt really matter just as long as you have good friends around you and trust you have alot around you.
