504 Hours

What do you say when you see someone on the street who you know, but haven’t seen or spoken to for a while? Do you say hello like most normal people or do you keep on walking hoping they didn’t see you?

I, along with my colleagues, left the office early and started to make our way to Southern Cross Station. We’d barely walked out of our building when I saw the delectable waiter I gave my number to some three weeks ago. He - looking as delicious as ever.

I watched him, transfixed, as we past each other, debating whether I should say hello or stop him. To some, it could border on obsessive. But his reaction would have been priceless.

He didn’t see me, so I kept walking. The chance had past.

All the while, my colleagues were oblivious to what was happening right in front of them as they crapped on about German Christmas baubles. I looked back one last time. Oh what could have been!

Did I miss the opportunity? Definately. But things are probably left alone once the fire is extinguished and only you are protecting the embers that still may reignite.

Oh, how i remember those days of secret crushes and constantly second guessing yourself.

Anth, you are seriously a lot hotter than you give yourself credit for. BE AS CONFIDENT WITH YOUR CONQUESTS AS YOU ARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!

there's something both surreal and strange when chances like those happen, especially when it's all yours. it's like having your own secret reality.

i remembered that something similar happened to me a while ago and to this day often wondered that question, what if? until it happened to me. i was approached by someone who apparently had a crush from a long time but one i've never known. and the worst part, didn't even know or couldn't even remember the person. i felt for them, but at the same time, it helped put a stop to my questioning.

sometimes, it's best not to know.
